2016 Bloomington Geometry Workshop

The geometry group at Indiana University will again
host an April workshop with the help of the National Science Foundation and the Department of Mathematics.
The aim of the gathering is to foster interaction among
mathematicians having diverse geometric interests.

NSF support:We will be able to reimburse the travel and local expenses of many participants. The funding of graduate students and recent PhDs will receive priority. To apply for support, please register.

- Restaurants and Coffee: There are many restaurants near the University, with a wide variety of cuisines including: Afghan, Burmese, Eritrean, Indian, Moroccan, Thai, and Tibetan. Most have fare amenable to vegetarian diets, and one can find a decent cup of coffee in town.
- Entertainment: On Friday and Saturday, the IU opera theatre will be performing “Oklahoma! by Rodgers and Hammerstein II .” We also plan a fine-dining opportunity for participants and friends on Saturday.
Accommodations:
Unfortunately, there do not seem to be any vacancies in hotels
in Bloomington for this weekend. If you have not already booked
a room, you may be able to find accommodations in private homes
through
Airbnb.
Please act quickly because even these accommodations are filling up.

The mathematics department is housed in Rawles Hall, the building just west of the intersection of 3rd Street and Woodlawn Avenue on the north side of 3rd Street.
